DomainHarvest ("we", "our", or "us") operates the tekareer.com website and the DomainHarvest Chrome extension (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access the Service.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address
• Name (if provided through OAuth)
• Password (stored as a secure hash — we never store plaintext passwords)
• OAuth tokens (Google, GitHub) if you sign in via a third-party provider

1.2 Usage Data

We automatically collect certain information when you use the Service:

• Number of pages scraped per session
• Number of domains exported
• Export format used (CSV, XLSX, JSON)
• Timestamps of activity
• License key verification events

This data is used exclusively to enforce plan limits, display your usage statistics on the dashboard, and improve the Service.

1.3 Extension Data

The DomainHarvest Chrome extension operates locally in your browser. It reads data already visible on expireddomains.net pages that you have navigated to. The extension does not:

• Read data from websites other than expireddomains.net
• Access your browsing history
• Capture screenshots or keystrokes
• Transmit raw domain data to our servers

The only data sent to our servers from the extension is usage metadata (pages scraped, domains count, export format) and license key verification requests.

1.4 Payment Information

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full payment details on our servers. We only receive a Stripe customer ID and subscription status.

1.5 Cookies and Local Storage

We use session cookies for authentication (via Clerk) and local storage in the Chrome extension to cache your license data for up to 1 hour.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account
• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
• Enforce plan limits (Free: 3 pages/month, Basic: 50 pages/month)
• Process payments and manage subscriptions
• Send transactional emails (account creation, plan changes, license keys)
• Respond to support requests
• Detect and prevent abuse or unauthorized access
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

3. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Usage logs are retained for 12 months for billing and limit enforcement purposes. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently deleted within 30 days.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption for data in transit, bcrypt hashing for passwords, and access controls on our database. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

5. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights:

• Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Rectification — Request correction of inaccurate data
• Erasure — Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Portability — Request an export of your data in machine-readable format
